Additive Heat Exchanger Design

Collaborated with principal designer to build NX + nTop workflows that enabled GM Racing to rapidly iterate metal additively manufactured heat exchangers. Created zoned heat-exchanger sections in NX and an automated nTop workflow that incorporated racing-specific loads and iteratively optimized flow paths, pressure drop, and surface area using CFD and heat-transfer simulation feedback. Delivered ~30% higher thermal performance and 90% lower cost versus legacy microtubes — driving the powertrain team to seriously evaluate legal additive HX replacements in the C8R.
